Fin brings more than 25 years of experience in architecture and interior design, having worked on hundreds of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects from concept through to completion. He oversees every Rockpool Studios project, regardless of scale, and has extensive experience securing development approvals across more than 20 council areas throughout Sydney, Newcastle, Byron Bay, the Northern Rivers and South East Queensland. Fin’s expertise includes town planning, heritage architecture, bushfire and flood constraints, cost control and commercially successful design outcomes.
Anna Murray

Coming from a family of Architects, Anna Murray brings a rich legacy and deep passion to her role as Studio Manager. As the third generation in a family of renowned German architects, Anna grew up immersed in design thinking and the built environment. Her background in business development and financial strategy brings a valuable commercial lens to our projects—particularly in the complex world of bespoke commercial design.
Founded by Fin Murray, Rockpool Heritage is built on more than 25 years of experience designing and delivering heritage renovations across Sydney. Throughout his career, Fin has successfully guided homeowners through the complexities of heritage planning, conservation requirements and council approvals across more than 20 Sydney council areas.
From elegant Victorian terraces in Paddington and Birchgrove to Federation homes in Mosman and substantial heritage residences throughout the Eastern Suburbs, North Shore and Northern Beaches, every project is approached with the same philosophy: preserve what makes the home special while thoughtfully introducing spaces that enhance modern family life.
Our experience extends well beyond architectural design. We understand the planning process, heritage legislation, council expectations and the technical challenges that come with adapting older buildings. This depth of knowledge allows us to confidently navigate complex projects while helping clients avoid unnecessary delays, uncertainty and costly redesigns.
Over more than two decades, we are proud to have never had a Development Application refused.
